The Series
You do not have to do all three events. You can enter any of the
events but if you enter and complete all three events as a series,
you will be in line for a series place. That is each finisher is
allocated points in their category – 10 for 1st, 9 for 2nd, 8 for
3rd etc. At the end of the third event the points are added up to
ascertain who was 1st, 2nd & 3rd overall. These places will be
recognised in each category and overall placing in the Triathlon &
Duathlon. In the event of a tie for a place then it will be awarded
on the result of Event 3. Series entrants will also
receive a
certificate with each event's finishing times and places. There will be spot
prizes for series entrants only - (each event will also have spot
prizes for all participants).
To qualify for the series you must enter all three events (same
category) on or before the 4th October 2009 and then participate in
each event! Teams must retain the same members to be eligible for
series points.
